Important information for Nursing Students
As a student in the College of Nursing at the University of St. Francis, you are required to abide by the health information privacy requirements of a federal law called HIPAA. All clinical agencies require that students are trained and familiar with the HIPAA regulations.
The following information is an overview of HIPAA and its implications to students in USF Nursing Programs. If you have questions regarding HIPAA that are not covered here, please contact your instructor for more information. Please review the review the College of Nursing policy on HIPAA violations and the HIPAA PowerPoint presentation.
At the end of the presentation is an electronic link to an acknowledgement form, please be sure to complete the acknowledgement form. This acknowledgement will be placed in your academic files as evidence of completion of HIPAA training.
