Dr. Donna Metlicka has been with St. Francis since 2003, serving as a faculty member and Elementary Education Program Coordinator. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree, Master’s degree, and Doctorate degree from Northern Illinois University. She is licensed in Elementary Education (BS), Reading Specialist, and Educational Administration (MS), and has Special Education, Middle School Language Arts, and Middle School Social Studies endorsements. She has been in higher education since 1999.
Dr. Metlicka’s academic interests include literacy, improving instruction, and meeting the diverse needs of all students. She has presented at numerous professional conferences throughout the United States. Dr. Metlicka enjoys traveling and offers a faculty-led opportunity for students to visit Europe each year. She also loves spending time with her family, friends, and her Newfoundlands.
