Dr. Stephen MIdlock, professor in the College of Education, is the author of the Doctor of Education program at USF. He wrote the courses and the program for both the Superintendent licensure and Stewardship, Leadership, and Learning concentrations. He also is the author of the book, Case Studies for Educational Leadership: Solving Administrative Dilemmas, (2010) Pearson Publishing. In addition, Steve has written 65 case studies for use in the courses in the doctoral program.
Having served as a high school English teacher, a Department Chair, an Assistant Principal, a Principal, a Personnel Director, an Assessment Director, and an Assistant Superintendent, Steve has a rich background of administrative and educational experiences which he shares with his students in the doctoral courses. He joined the faculty of USF in 2004 and has chaired and served on several university governance committees, including Chair of the Academic Assembly.
He and his wife, JoAnn, have two children and three grandchildren. His hobbies include: spending time with family, gardening, swimming, and driving and collecting vintage Volkswagens.
