I am a dedicated and passionate Advanced Practice Registered Nurse/Family Nurse Practitioner with over 20 years of clinical and academic experience. I completed my Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) with a focus on Population Health Leadership at New Mexico State University, my MBA at Western Governors University, and my MSN at Resurrection University. Since August 2024, I have been a full-time Assistant Professor of Graduate Nursing Studies at the University of St. Francis. I am also the ANEW grant program director. I integrate Franciscan values into my curriculum, emphasizing respect, compassion, integrity, and service. Before my faculty role, I worked as a Family Nurse Practitioner at the University of Chicago Medical Center, specializing in interventional radiology, and at CVS Minute Clinic as a primary care FNP. My prior nursing experience includes critical care, gastroenterology, and interventional radiology. I am happy to share my clinical experiences with my students to help them develop critical thinking skills and evidence-based practices. Outside of my professional life, I am married with two children and enjoy traveling, as well as hobbies such as hiking, knitting, and biking.
I currently teach graduate-level courses, including Advanced Practice Nursing Roles (NURS 610), Advanced Health Assessment (NURS 622), and FNP Clinical Residency (NURS 698), as well as doctoral courses in Information Management in Advanced Practice (NURS 812), and Nursing Research (NURS 975).
