Dear USF Campus Community,
During the fall and spring semesters, the University of St. Francis underwent an Academic Reorganization process that involved an evaluation of our academic programs.
From the onset, we have emphasized that all current USF students will be able to complete their current academic programs. To be clear, any student enrolled in any USF program or major will be able to complete their current degree, minor or certificate program.
The process utilized to evaluate our existing programs involved analysis from a Task Force Group focused on our Academic Programs. This group’s work was consultative and deliberative, and followed with input and feedback from the campus community. Additional input was sought from the leadership of the Academic Assembly and the Administrators and Staff Council. Using our faculty governance process, the University Curriculum Council recently voted to suspend a number of programs, which we support.
Please note that a number of these programs currently have no students enrolled, and many have fewer than five (5) students enrolled, and thus are not financially sustainable moving forward.
The list of suspended programs can be found below. We thank all those who participated in this process.
Sincerely,
Announced March 17, 2026: The following programs will be suspended for five years, effective April 1, 2026.
