Students and families should follow all posted signs and directions from USF staff. Because carts may be limited, families are encouraged to bring a personal dolly, wagon, or small moving cart if available.
Students should review the complete residence hall packing list and housing guidelines on our FAQs page before move-in. Here are some items you’ll need:
Roommates & Shared Items
Remember that your room will be a shared home if you have a roommate. Begin the year with open communication, respect, and consideration for one another by coordinating with your roommate before purchasing or packing shared items. Connecting before move-in can prevent duplicate purchases and make the transition easier. Consider discussing shared space needs and expectations, including:
• Television or Entertainment Items
Room and Bedding Essentials
The University of St. Francis has partnered with DormCo to help students conveniently shop for residence hall room and bedding essentials. Students and families can find bedding, bath supplies, storage solutions, décor, and other items designed for college living. Shop now!
MicroFridge Rental
USF students may rent a residence hall-approved MicroFridge unit for the academic year from our partnering company.
The annual rental fee is $189.99. Students who order by August 1 will have their MicroFridge delivered to their room before move-in. Roommates are encouraged to coordinate and share the cost. Learn more about the program here, then order online at MyMicroFridge.com or call 1-800-525-7307.
For the safety of our residential community, some items are not permitted in residence hall rooms. Please leave the following at home:
Students are responsible for reviewing and following all residence hall policies. Items that create a fire, electrical, health, or safety concern may be removed.
Students should plan to arrive during their designated move-in date and time.
Requests to move in early must receive advance approval from Residence Education. Early arrival is generally limited to students participating in an approved university activity, employment assignment, athletic program, or other authorized commitment.
Students who expect to arrive after the designated move-in period can report to Marian Hall upon arrival.
Move-in updates and reminders will be sent to students through their USF email. Students should check their university email regularly throughout the summer.
