A failure in any didactic course or clinical rotation will make the student liable for dismissal.
Two course failures during didactic and/or clinical curriculum will result in automatic dismissal.
A student who has failed a didactic course may continue in the program without dismissal, provided he/she can demonstrate competency of the overall content of the course that he/she failed. If remediation is available for a course, remediation must be completed during the time frame specified in the remedial plan. Remediation may take the form of a written, multiple-choice exam or an oral or practical exam or other assessment method at the discretion of the course director. The method will be consistent for all students within the course who require remediation. If the student fails to fulfill or achieve the minimum outcomes described in the remediation plan, she/he is liable for dismissal from the P.A. program. Successful completion of a remediation plan will prompt a grade change from “F” to “C”.
