Dr. Erin Evans is a Professor in the College of Education and started her career with the university in 2011. She earned her doctorate in Curriculum Leadership from Northern Illinois University in 2015 with an emphasis on elementary STEM education, a master’s degree in Curriculum Leadership from Northern Illinois University in 2009 with an emphasis on environmental education, and a bachelor of science degree in elementary/middle school education from Illinois State University in 2005. Prior to USF, Dr. Evans taught middle school science and her licensure includes elementary and middle school teaching with endorsements in science, social science, and language arts as well as K-12 administration.
Dr. Evans teaches a variety of courses across the education programs at USF, including elementary methods courses in science, social studies, and classroom management, among several others taken by special education and secondary candidates. She is passionate about building relationships and advising students, and she works with elementary and secondary history majors as they pursue their goals in becoming teachers. Her academic interests include STEM education and meeting the diverse needs of students. She enjoys nature, photography, and traveling with her husband and sons in their vintage Airstream to see America’s national parks.
