Provisional Nursing Essay
Sometimes a transcript doesn’t tell everything about your academic potential for success and, on occasion, transfer students do not meet all of the standards set by the USF College of Nursing. In order for the Nursing Admission Committee to better evaluate your chances of success at the University of St. Francis, we would like to learn more about you.
If you believe you had extenuating circumstances that prevented you from doing your best work in your prior courses, students are expected to write a letter to the nursing admissions and progression committee explaining what those circumstances/challenges were.
The committee members will be looking for self-reflection, professionalism (ie: accepting responsibility), and most of all, what has changed that will make you more successful.
