I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) having graduated with a Master Degree in Social Work (MSW) from Aurora University in 2013. I also hold a Bachelor of Science in Public Health with a specialization in Health Promotion from Northern Illinois University. I have worked as a case manager in a variety of settings including: providing the religious with consultation and case management to achieve the appropriate level of participation in various government and employment-based benefit programs, implementation & oversight of the Developmental Disabilities Medicaid Waiver through a non-profit, and as a case manager working in managed healthcare overseeing the Aged, Blind, and Disabled Medicaid Waiver.
In addition to my experience working in case management, I have experience working with both adults and adolescents in mental health and substance use treatment settings where I provided individual, group, and family therapy utilizing various treatment modalities, as well as providing psycho-education and coordination of care.
I enjoy spending time with my husband, Matt and our dog, Roxy who we rescued from Will County Humane Society in 2020. I also enjoy being in nature, traveling both domestically and internationally, cooking, attending concerts, photography, creative writing, and spending time with family and friends. I would also consider myself a life-long learner and enjoy immersing myself in learning and developing knowledge & skills regarding current practices in both the areas of mental health and substance use disorders. My particular areas of interest are Complex Trauma, Trauma Informed Therapy, Internal Family Systems, Grief, Co-Occurring Disorders, and the impact of Trauma & Addictions.
