The start of the new year is one of the most challenging times to collect blood products, as severe winter weather and cold and flu season can lead to canceled blood drives and missed appointments. If you’re feeling well, please consider making and keeping a donation appointment to help ensure the blood supply stays on track throughout the winter months.
Donors of all blood types — especially type O negative — are needed daily to meet patient demand. Those who donate will receive valuable health insights and more.
March is Red Cross Month, a time to honor and celebrate our blood donors. As a thank-you for supporting our lifesaving mission, all successful donors in March will receive Free A1C Testing (one result per calendar year), commonly used to screen for prediabetes and diabetes. Additionally, donors who give blood between March 1–31 will receive a $15 Amazon gift card by email.
