Failure to drop or withdraw from a course by the applicable date may result in financial liability, a failing grade, and a university account hold preventing future registration or release of student records such as transcripts.
Drop requests for courses running eight weeks (or longer) must be submitted by 4 p.m. on the fifth business day (M-F) of the course to receive a refund of tuition paid/owed for the course.
Once the drop deadline has passed (after the first week of the course), candidates may elect to withdraw from a course(s) until the withdrawal deadline (no later than week 5).
Candidates withdrawing from a course during weeks 2-5 will receive a W on their transcript. No computation in grade point average will be recorded in the student’s permanent record for courses with a W. Course withdraw notations on official transcripts may impact future financial aid opportunities.
Drop requests for accelerated format courses running less than eight weeks must be dropped on or before the first day of the course to receive a full refund of tuition paid/owed for the course.
Please note that you will need to be logged into your MyUSF account to complete this process.
