About Me
My research focuses on the ethical issues surrounding anonymous human remains. These are deceased people who have somehow lost their identities, through either poor record keeping, homelessness, or malicious actions such as graverobbing. At Ohio State, I studied the use of anonymous human remains in research and dissection laboratories. This is a population poorly represented in our medical and scientific policies with a long history of abuse. It is my goal to find a protective and respectful set of guidelines to best serve this group of persons.
Teaching
I teach Human Anatomy (BIO 221), Human Dissection Anatomy (BIO 321) and Beginning Investigative Experiences in Biology (BIO 151). In the past I have taught a neuroscience class and hope to bring comparative vertebrate anatomy soon.
